The Interview

Image
Throughout video I enjoyed editing the most. I learned how to properly use Final Cut Pro, even though I have never used it before, and shortcut keys to make editing easier. Learning shortcut keys really helped during editing. If I had to use the long process of clicking in the toolbar each time editing would have taken much longer. If it was that way I don't think I would have enjoyed editing as much.Throughout video we used the 6 shot sequence and learned how important framing is. If your actor's head is cutoff you have to redo the shots because it doesn't look nice. It's like taking pictures of people, but in motion. If you cut the head off of a person in a picture the picture doesn't look as good as it could have been with a full head shot. In the future if I don't go into filming I know I can use skills I learned in this class in a different field. The 6 shot sequence I could use in photography because taking pictures are like still frames in video. Overa...

Web Design

Image
I liked this web project. It wasn't too hard for me because I had taken a class over the summer about web design. At first I was confused because it had been a while since using dreamweaver, but after refreshing it made more sense to me. Sometimes I got confused about what I was doing, but asking people around me helped me figure it out.

Chase Scene

Image
In the chase scene project I learned that the way you set up scenes and organize them can really change the mood and tone of a movie. While our group was story boarding we had to decide what type of one we wanted. In my next project I will organize my clips in my story board more accurate to how the movie would look like in the end. In this collaboration I had to work with more than just one other person. We had to combine all of our different ideas into one movie. We all had different views on how the movie should look and then had to work together to make them into one. I would improve collaboration next time by making sure we were all here knowing what is going on and everyone contributed. Overall as a group we worked well together and had a good time.

AB Sequence

Image
In the  AB Sequence project I learned that you use almost all the same components as the 6 shot sequence. The only difference is that there are 2 sets of of 6 shot sequences and a few in between shots. In my next project I will try to incorporate different angles instead of the same angles each time. When I incorporate different angles it will make my video look more interesting. In a collaboration you combine two or more things together to creae one whole thing.  In this project you had to combine two 6 shot sequences with some extra shots in between to create one video. Having a partner also requires collaboration. We had to work together and use two activities of her choice and combine the clips into one video.

6 Shot Sequence

Image
The six shots in sequencing are extra close up, close up, over the shoulder, medium shot, wide shot, and extra wide shot. The extra close up is a scene of the person's hands and the close up is a scene of just the person's face. An over the shoulder is just how it sounds, only showing the back of the person's head and what they are doing. The medium shot shows from the person's hips up. The wide shot shows part of the scene and from their feet to their head. The extra wide shot shows the whole scene making the person look small. I learned that when doing a extra wide shot and wide shot the scene must have a specific view to classify as one or the other. Next time I do a six shot sequence I will be sure to make extra wide shot and wide shot look significantly different.

Hobby Highlight Video

Image
In my highlight video I used the I and O tool. I also used the blade tool to cut out certain parts that in a clip that I had already pasted in my timeline. The command+T I used to add in quick transitions in-between clips. The arrow keys helped me make more precise cuts in the clip so I could have smoother transitions. I chose youtube videos for  my hobby because I enjoy watching them. In the video I have Tyler Oakley, Joe Sugg, Zoella Sugg, Caspar Lee and Marcus Butler. They are some of the Youtubers I am subscribed to  and my favorite ones to watch. The process of making the videos relates well with this course because they have to use similar editing software to edit their own videos. I've always thought it was really cool how they would add their own special effects, even if they were really cheesy.

Delerium Animation

My best part of the animation was making the vortex of water sinking the girl. I made it better by making the water swirl too. Originally I was not going to do that, but I thought it would make it look more realistic. I also liked the facial expression I created when she washed ashore. It expresses how confused she is. If I redid part of this I would make the wave look more like an ocean wave and not just one singular wave. I would also develop the story more if I had the time to create it. I would also add more detail if I had more time.

My Personality Type

Image
My personality is an INTP. I am a introvert, intuitive, thinking and perceiving. INTP's need an explanation for all the craziness happening around them. They will get lost in thought and try to understand, explain, and analyze the world around them. INTP's are usually thinking outside of the box rather than being traditional. We are suspicious and our minds are constantly moving analyzing and criticizing the environment around us. Some famous people who are INTP's are, Abraham Lincoln, Albert Einstein, Charles Darwin, Jesse Eisenberg, and Tina Fey. An INTP is said to be more outgoing when with familiar people, but shy around new people. I am just like that. Around my friends I can be really hyper and talkative, but if I just meet you I will probably only say a couple words. However it says that INTP's are afraid of failure. I wouldn't say I am afraid of failure because when I do, I accept that I have failed and then moved on. The information given to m...
