Way Back When
YouTube
In 2005 YouTube was created and the very first outline of the website was created. It had the same logo, but the color scheme, and layout. In 2005 the font was blue, ad the banner was grey, the only colors on the page were a royal blue, light grey, and light blue. In the coding they mainly used tables to create the layout.
In 2015 there is red icons, the font is still blue on the links to the video, but all of the banners are white. The old layout was all center aligned except for the home, my videos, my favorites, my profile were left aligned, and the sign up, log in, and help links were right aligned. Now the logo, popular links, and search bar are left aligned. The sign in and upload buttons are right aligned, but the popular videos are center aligned. The coding is mostly div tags to create the layout of the page.
Apple

The 2015 version of the Apple website is much more sleek. There is a black bar on the very top that has their different products listed where you can click and go to that page. At the very end of the black bar the search bar is there and a shopping bag where you can add products to buy. Below that bar is a large screen that has their new products or deals they have.
It has 4 different slides that continuously change for as long as you stay on the first page. Below the larger screen it is divided into four sections where they have different tabs about Apple as a company and new products or information to know about. The modern apple code has lots of lists and div tags.
MySpace
MySpace was created in 2003 and their first website was very simple. The top of the page had their logo and a little information about their website and a link for where you could sign up.
There is a blue bar below that dividing the top section and the main part. In the main screen there is a box that has information about what Myspace does. It also has steps on how to create an account.
In the 2015 version of MySpace the design is much more sleek and modern. The color scheme is black and white. On the left side of the screen there is a bar that has the logo at the very top and different links you can click on. Below the links to the pages on MySpace there is a log in or sign up button. There are three different tables on the home page.
The largest section has popular articles, the section next to it is skinny and is divided in half. That section has more popular articles in it. The last section shown has three different articles going horizontally across the bottom. The design is sleek and is easy to use. Like most of the older websites they used tables, but the newest version had div tags.
